The dynamic and enthusiastic vet, Dr Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka, runs a charity in Uganda called Conservation Through Public Health (CTPH). This provides conservation support for mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest region. Rather than just expecting the local population to engage in conservation efforts for these endangered primates, CTPH enables and supports conservation by supporting the local population and their livestock too,
